Dairy Discovery Show
Phew – it has been busy, busy the past few weeks. Spring has arrived and it seems that so has everything else, including work.
I have been busy on trying to make a version of my 'Cows' program to help manage the old AGFECS DFMS-500 compute systems. There was a program written to connect the DFMS-500 to a PC, but that was back in the earliest of Windows days, and that program won't work now. I have nealry adapted the 'Cows' program, and this will give the DFMS-500 users a lot more options, including better herd management and reports.
The other thing that was on – last week we had Dairy Discovery down in Bunbury. This year it was a 2-day event held at the Koombana Bay Sailing Club – so we had 2 great days at a great venue. Congratulations to Rod and his team (the new owners of Farm West for a good job in organising it at the last minute.
I was helping my old firm, AGFECS, and I also had some Solar water pumps and equipment with me. It was great on catching up with some of our old friends, and in making a few new friends. I think we've even got some business already from the show – which is good.
